TPHC participates to second quarter virtual earthquake drill by NDRRMC

Metro Manila - For the second straight year, the Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill was held virtually last June 10, 2021, 9:00 AM by National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) because of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.

The virtual earthquake drill was livestreamed on OCD (Office of the Civil Defense) and NDRRMC's Facebook pages where viewers are encouraged to "duck, cover, and hold" in their houses and offices once the ceremonial alarm sounds. This is also the second time that TPHC joined the said drill virtually.

The event was to promote awareness amidst the ongoing pandemic. Especially that Metro Manila, where TPHC's office is located, is within the Marikina Valley Fault or West Valley Fault. It is one of the country's active faults.
