A Pin Gear Drive Unit is a transmission mechanism composed of a pin gear, pin rack, or pin wheel that mesh together to produce motion. Unlike traditional gear systems, the PDU uses a gear with a specialized tooth profile that engages with rollers mounted on the pin rack or pin wheel.
